About Us:

Nicole McKoy was originally born in South Korea and raised in Miami, Florida.  Classically trained, she attended New World School of the Arts High School for Fine Art, and went on to graduate from the Kansas City Art Institute with a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts.  Nicole spent the next few years honing her skills as both an illustrator and seamstress, during which she sewed over 50 different costumes and won multiple awards for both her original designs and recreations.  She has also appeared on SyFy's "Heroes of Cosplay", where she starred as a guest judge for the contestants.  Nicole currently works with her partner, Mervyn McKoy, for their company, Paper Lab Studios.

Mervyn McKoy is a Jamaican Illustrator and storyteller and co founder of Paperlab Studios. Mervyn McKoy has left an indelible mark on the South Florida comics scene, most notably creating Florida Supercon’s titular mascot. He is also the co-creator and lead artist on the comic books, ‘The C-Listers’ and ‘Giant Robot Warrior Maintenance Crew’ and 'Child of the Sun'. Mr. McKoy also specializes in parody art and has been both praised and lampooned by Destructoid, IGN, Gamespy Debriefings (now the Comedy Button) and Conan O’Brien (in his Flaming C Art Gallery). Not to one to stop, he is currently wiling away on his newest project about Nanny of the Maroons, Queen of Xaymaca. You can even find prologue stories in the 'Gwan' anthology and 'Noir is the New Black'.

Whenever he is not drawing or crafting new ideas, you can find him gaming, running, or traveling. If you’re feeling adventurous, his work can be found right here!
